Virtual Library Catalog for CFWS

Screenshot of CFWS Virtual Library Catalog

At LibraryThing.com, you can browse the CFWS online catalog for free. You may also create a free account.

I set up a free account for up to 200 books which is the maximum I figure I can ever handle for our organization.

Every summer when all books are returned, I inventory them and put them in separate categories based on availability (if they were returned or have been missing for more than one year).

If you have any questions, please contact me at http://www.tinyurl.com/karensemail.

CFWS Special Collection of Large, Oversized Books

The following list of books can be borrowed, but are available only on request due not only to their size, but also due to their value.  They were kindly donated by Sy Rosefelt.  Sy was one of the  original, founding members of the Central Florida Watercolor Society.

Thanks to his kind generosity, his legacy can live on through books from his library.  In the previous post on December 31, 2012, I listed many books that were from his personal library.  The books listed below are in the new “Special Collection”.  Please call me on my cell phone (do not use email) to request a book from this list and I will bring it with me to our next scheduled meeting.

New Library Assistant

Welcome back to all our members. Over the summer I decided to ask for someone to assist me during the meetings. While I was still setting up for our first meeting of the year Doris walked up and started talking to me. She is a new member. She told me that she was a member of the Citrus County Watercolor Society and loves books. I told her about my idea to ask for someone to help me with the library and she gladly volunteered!

On a sad note, a few of our old VHS tapes have stopped working. I will be testing a couple of them and may have to remove them from the library. On a good note, this year I will begin purchasing new DVDs!

See you all next month!

Welcome to our new library!

Thank you for visiting! You may want to bookmark this page for future reference.

This blog will be used to announce new books and videos as they are added to our library.

It will always contain a link to the list of books and videos that are currently owned by the Central Florida Watercolor Society. (See below and on the left.) The list will show if a title is checked in or out.

Each item is due back at the next meeting. It is appreciated if you return any items you have borrowed at each meeting so others can learn and study from our collection.

Comments to this blog are welcome! Please only post items pertaining directly to or about our books and videos. Suggestions for new titles are most welcome as are comments about books and videos you have borrowed.

Thank you! Here is the link to our current list of titles in our collection:
